The Incredible Musical Spinners from Latent Space, 2018

An interactive music application that explores musical co-creation between humans and AI models by letting users make music from patterns generated by a neural network.

A 7×7 grid of multi-instrumental musical loops is generated by interpolating the latent space of a variational autoencoder model trained by Google Magenta. Users may move around in the grid to make their own musical structures and chord progressions.
