A(I)nsects (2020). I dreamed up a series of beautiful insects to fight for their survival. Any insect is a beautiful and important being, no matter if everyone understands their value. They all have a right to live happily. These works reflects on my personal experiences of devaluation and discrimination associated with my physical appearance and sexual orientation. The insects carry the first names of homosexual Turkish artists who are heroes to me. These actors gave a voice to a prosecuted community. I hope that my insects can do the same for the insects of the world.
