Living Tapestries are created using Conway’s Game of Life and style transfer. Running style transfer on noise extracts the the aesthetic style with no defined content. The evolving cellular automaton provides a changing landscape of noise for style transfer to run atop. The Living Tapestry animations were created as an experiment in exploring noise as a material.
