“That what you see… where does it come from” was the theme of my recent exhibition at Pesula-galleria in Sipoo Finland. In these works I was experimenting with Generative AI based art to create a level of ambiguity, to balance between familiar and unrecognizable, in order to allow viewers to use their own imagination in interpreting what they see.
The works were deliberately ambiguous and had generic names with a serial number, so as not to direct the imagination of the viewer. During the exhibition I had great discussions with the visitors. Many times I was surprised by the details they found in the works, but which I had until then overlooked.
